Zen Arts Presents Fire Dancing Workshops w/ Cirque Du Soleil Fire Dancer Srikanta Barefoot

Join us Sunday June 19th at the Katnap Dance Center for a fire dancing workshop taught by Zen Arts and Cirque du Soleil fire artist Srikanta Barefoot.
Srikanta is highly-skilled in all forms of fire art and has been coaching since 2003, with 3 of those years spent at Cirque, where he was single-handedly responsible for prop design, fuel testing, and choreography for fire elements of Cirque show Zaia.
Classes are back to back, with all levels (beginner through advanced) poi beginning at 1 pm, and all levels staff beginning at 2:30 pm. Each workshop is $35, or a flat $60 to attend both. This is a great trial workshop to see if you’d like to sign up for the 5 week beginner and 6 week intermediate classes that will be beginning on July 3rd and July 6th, respectively. Zen Arts Presents Free Intro to Fire Dancing Class w/ Cirque Du Soleil Fire Dancer Srikanta Barefoot

Like to play with fire? If so, then join us on Sunday, June 12th at the Katnap Dance Center for a free introductory workshop on fire dancing, taught by Zen Arts and renowned Cirque du Soleil fire dancer Srikanta Barefoot.
As Cirque Du Soleil’s first contemporary fire artist, Srikanta worked with the group for 3 years as a fire coach and choreographer, teaching large crews with no fire experience how to handle and manipulate this dangerous element. Aside from being a certified yoga instructor, Srikanta also combines pieces of capoeira, modern dance, tumbling, and martial arts into his fire routines. He has been coaching fire dancing since 2003 and has recently opened shop in Los Angeles.
All tools and toys will be provided. Class goes from 1 pm to 4 pm. This is a great opportunity to discover a new passion! Formal beginner and intermediate 5 and 6 week classes will begin July 3rd and 6th. For more information contact us.
