Like to play with fire? If so, then join us on Sunday, June 12th at the Katnap Dance Center for a free introductory workshop on fire dancing, taught by Zen Arts and renowned Cirque du Soleil fire dancer Srikanta Barefoot.
As Cirque Du Soleil’s first contemporary fire artist, Srikanta worked with the group for 3 years as a fire coach and choreographer, teaching large crews with no fire experience how to handle and manipulate this dangerous element. Aside from being a certified yoga instructor, Srikanta also combines pieces of capoeira, modern dance, tumbling, and martial arts into his fire routines. He has been coaching fire dancing since 2003 and has recently opened shop in Los Angeles.
All tools and toys will be provided. Class goes from 1 pm to 4 pm. This is a great opportunity to discover a new passion! Formal beginner and intermediate 5 and 6 week classes will begin July 3rd and 6th. For more information contact us.
